Our French (Broad) Roast plays homage to the French Broad River that runs through Transylvania, Buncombe, Henderson and Madison counties in North Carolina. The French Broad is the third-oldest river on the planet. For our French (Broad) Roast, we chose beans that roast well to second crack, but not long enough for much of the oils to emerge. This traditional French roast level fully caramelizes the sugars and provides a nuanced, slightly smoky flavor. For those who enjoy a dark and bold cup, our French Roast is a winner.
